Lions EXPO in Sensyu

The Power of Senshu, Connecting to the Future — Smiles and Inspiration from the Expo to the Region

During the special opportunity of the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, the event will fully showcase the attractions of the Senshu area and energize the entire region. The event will align with the Expo’s theme, “Designing Future Societies in which Life Shines,” and the concept “People’s Living Lab,” offering a place where visitors can experience Senshu’s diverse possibilities. Through sports, culture, food, and exchange, the event will promote Senshu’s appeal as a contribution to future societies and aim to create new value that connects the region with the world.

Project Inauguration

With the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai scheduled to be held in Osaka, the local Lions Clubs jointly considered what they could do together and decided to launch this project. The project was initiated with the Lions Clubs’ motto “We Serve” in mind, aiming to invigorate the local community by focusing on the environment, culture, youth education, health, and welfare.

Project Activities

The Lions Clubs are the world’s largest volunteer organization dedicated to community service. They carry out activities to improve local communities and provide humanitarian assistance, contributing to better health and welfare, as well as the promotion of peace and international understanding.

Future Prospects for the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai

As an effort to energize the region, discussions are underway to use the success of the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai as a springboard for holding ongoing events in the Senshu area beyond 2026. This initiative will carry forward the Expo’s concept of the “People’s Living Lab,” aiming to connect Senshu’s diverse attractions and potential to the future. By leveraging regional resources and culture, the project seeks to showcase the area’s appeal to domestic and international audiences and develop into an initiative that remains in the memories of future generations.
