“DocoDemo Festival Osaka” is a project to support business growth by gathering cutting-edge startups and showcasing their prized products, technologies, and services in Osaka in anticipation of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
This project will be conducted in collaboration with “Daisho Start-up Operation,” a start-up support program run by the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), inviting a diverse range of start-ups from Japan and abroad. The project aims to accelerate innovation in the region by providing demonstration opportunities in the Osaka-Kansai region, and by providing a foothold for business expansion and entry into the region.
The event will also emphasize the linkage with the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, and will be held regularly after the Expo to build the “Expo Legacy” and enhance the city’s brand power.
The project was launched as a way to support business growth by bringing together cutting-edge start-ups and showcasing their products, technologies, and services in advance of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
The project aims to accelerate innovation in the region by inviting a diverse range of startups from Japan and abroad, in collaboration with the Daisho Start-up Operation, a startup support project that the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been working on.
DocoDemo Festival Osaka” aims to provide a demonstration opportunity for startups in Osaka and the Kansai region to expand their businesses and gain a foothold in the region. In particular, the event is recognized as an official pre-event of the government’s planned “Global Startup EXPO 2025,” emphasizing its linkage with the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo.
This project will continue to be held regularly after the Expo, with the aim of building on the “Expo Legacy” to enhance the city’s brand power and make the region a magnet for many visitors.
In anticipation of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, DocoDemo Festival Osaka aims to serve as a legacy of the Expo. The festival is scheduled to be held after the Expo period to further develop startups’ businesses in Osaka and the Kansai region and to accelerate innovation through collaboration with startups in Japan and abroad.
In addition, through the “Machinaka Living Lab” and other programs promoted by the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), they plan to create an environment that supports the growth of startups by making it possible to conduct marketability studies and verify the effectiveness of their activities in the region.
