Representative Director / Ideas Man, Ningen Inc.

YAMANE Shiboru

He was born in 1981 in Tamade, Nishinari‑ku, Osaka City. He is CEO, an ideas man, a creative director, and the person in charge of replacing the toilet paper. Day to day he somehow squeezes out wildly imaginative projects and sustains the “human‑ness” of Ningen Inc. Because he finds it hard to look people in the eye, he has the peculiar weakness of not being able to remember faces. An art lover, gamer, and great fan of radio, he is a subculture otaku who views the world like a comedic creative exercise, feeling like a postcard craftsman from the advertising industry.

I have long admired the 1970 Osaka Expo and, since the Expo bid campaign for the EXPO 2025, have considered what an Expo can give us and what it can leave behind. Through various activities, that thinking deepened, and now that the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai is finally being held, I want to preserve value that will be remembered as “how great the EXPO GENERATION in 2025 was” by exploring the fun and social significance of the Expo from the perspective of those who live in Osaka. The city‑wide EXPO magazine EXPO GENERATION is a free paper I decided to start as that medium. It’s not too late—become part of the EXPO GENERATION.
