He is from Kobe City, Hyōgo Prefecture. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in Doshomachi, later worked in Tokyo, and returned to Doshomachi a few years ago. In addition to the Doshomachi Town Development Council, he is actively involved in various community organizations such as the Semba Club.
We were moved to take action on measures against the increasing disasters caused by climate change—earthquakes, typhoons, and the like—and began activities at the council secretariat. Although the work has been in a very different environment from the pharmaceutical industry where many of us previously worked, we have collaborated with businesses and residents, in partnership with Osaka City, to build initiatives that are “people‑friendly” and enhance safety and appeal. We will continue advancing urban development so that visitors who extend their trip to the EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai can also appreciate the quality of the surrounding environment.
