When she was younger, she often felt that Toyono-cho was boring and wanted to leave. However, she decided to move back after having children. Leveraging her and her husband’s expertise as web creators, she co-founded the General Incorporated Association Toyono Teinei with the goal of raising property values in Toyono-cho, a town at the top of the list of municipalities at risk of depopulation. Based in Toyono-cho and its surrounding areas, the association engages in event planning and creative businesses.

Recognizing that Toyono-cho may struggle to compete with municipalities boasting attractive tourist destinations and abundant local products, she is dedicated to finding new ways to promote the town. In an era where regional revitalization is a common challenge, she believes that hyper-localized “self-revitalization” efforts can ultimately lead to broader regional revitalization. She is experimenting with this idea through the project like the EXPO Bar and the Machigoto Expo.
