Boxing Trainer Founder, Ganban Boxing, TARO FANTASTIC BOXING

 URASHIMA Taishi

He is from Osaka City, born in 1994. While at Momoyama Gakuin University he entered the Ioka Gym aiming to become a professional boxer. After passing the pro boxer exam, he fought in three matches before retiring. After retirement he ran a tile business and worked in insurance sales, but unable to forget boxing and martial arts he began working as a boxing trainer. He currently trains at a boxing gym and organizes boxing events, including Japan’s first “Ganban Boxing” (combining boxing with hot stone spa therapy) held at Soraniwa Onsen in Minato‑ku, Osaka. He is also developing boxing‑plus‑tourism tours for inbound tourists. While training others and running events, he continues practicing mixed martial arts and plans to compete in amateur MMA bouts.

We want participants from countries around the world attending the Expo to experience the joy of doing boxing in Japan. Air and sea travel from abroad, and spending time in unfamiliar places, can accumulate physical and mental fatigue and stress; through boxing training, participants can work up a sweat to release that tension and then enjoy delicious food and drink at Japanese sightseeing spots in a healthy state. If this contributes to revitalizing local communities in Japan, it will be greatly appreciated.
