Chair, Fukae Community Development Council President
He was born in Osaka City and serves as president of multiple community organizations, working daily to lead and support the Fukae area. He is also the organizer of the “Fukae Festival.” Having served as PTA president, youth guidance committee member, and welfare committee member, he is active in local initiatives based on extensive experience. He is particularly focused on disaster preparedness and, as a certified disaster prevention specialist, places strong emphasis on disaster drills.
Fukae is home to registered tangible cultural properties and the traditional craft of suga‑zaiku (reed weaving), which has a history spanning about 2,000 years. Through the Fukae Community Development Council, we engage in activities to pass down local assets by raising awareness not only of suga‑zaiku but also of the area’s historical landmarks. All of these efforts resonate with the Expo’s theme, “Designing Future Societies in which Life Shines.” To help make Fukae a place that designs a life‑shining future, we will create initiatives that allow international visitors to the Expo to experience Fukae’s remarkable culture.
