MINAGAWA Yuri

She was born in Osaka in 1993. As a student she researched the preservation and reuse of Osaka nagaya row houses and planned and managed the open‑house event “Open Nagaya Osaka.”

After completing graduate school, she joined Hankyu Hanshin Holdings. For four years she worked in the Development Promotion Department of Hankyu Hanshin Real Estate, engaging in commercial development and town‑planning projects along the Hanshin railway lines. Since 2022 she has been in her current division, responsible for area management initiatives and the formulation and promotion of future visions for the Umeda area in Osaka.

The Osaka Umeda area, a major transport hub in Kansai, has developed as a city where urban functions are well balanced. In 2022 the “Umeda Vision” was formulated, aiming to make the Osaka Umeda area an international exchange hub—a city where people around the world want to work and visit. We are responsible for creating the soft attractions that animate the Umeda area, and we believe that the accumulation of lively activities by people is what makes a city appealing. Seizing this once‑in‑fifty‑years opportunity when people, goods, and ideas from around the world will converge, we will co‑create with many partners to develop and promote content that enhances the value of the Umeda area and its transit corridors.
