Chakichian aims to do things with “wisdom,” “courage,” and “passion,” to be “prepared,” to be “grateful,” and to strive to maintain, preserve, and utilize Chakichian as a local community, to work together with the real things and serious people, and to create a space for gathering, relaxation, and connection, We believe in producing artists to the world.
In 2021, Yao City enacted the Yao City Basic Ordinance on Arts and Culture, followed by the formulation of the Yao City Basic Plan for the Promotion of Arts and Culture, and the establishment of the “Yao Welcome Commons Promotion Council” to promote this plan. With the goal of holding the Yao Machikado International Art Festival (tentative name) in 2028, we hold the Machikado Live Creation and the High School Joint Cultural Festival every fall. On May 18, we will hold the Yao Welcome Commons event at Gallery EAST in the Kansai Expo in Osaka, to introduce our activities. After that, we would like to invite you to the “mini festival” to be held in Yao City as an Expo related event. We would like to use the Expo as an opportunity to cooperate in urban development utilizing art in Yao.
