The fifth-generation head of Takayamado, a long-established Japanese confectionery store founded in Osaka in 1887 and now primarily operating in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. With a passion for creating happiness through the sweetness of traditional Japanese sweets, he is constantly challenging conventional wisdom in the confectionery industry. He is also the initiator of the “Osaka Good Yokan” project, a collaborative effort among confectioners to create new Osaka souvenirs in anticipation of the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
